These are so fun to do with kids and there are so many possible combinations: so grab your aprons, your little ones, and get creative!!
Ingredients
1 Vanilla Cake Mix
1 C Sour Cream
2 Eggs
1/2 C Milk
1/3 C Vegetable Oil
Food Coloring
Directions
Combine first 5 ingredients in large bowl; blend according to cake pkg. directions
Divide batter into 5 seperate small bowls and add food coloring to create 5 different colors of batter - Bright colors are beautiful here, but my girlscouts wanted pastels the day we did this
Spoon some of each color batter into paper cups placed in muffin tin, creating unique and beautiful designs....bake according to pkg directions
Yields: about 18 cupcakes

ReplyDeleteSuper easy - baked one cake in 2 loaf pans and the other in two square pans. Mixed some black frosting with red for the brick color of one and blue/black for the other. The rest is just decoration..3 hershey bars for the road, and another broken apart for the windows. I used oreo cookies (one side taken off) as gutters. oh, the gotham city water tower was a mini pringles container wrapped in tin foil and written in frosting... hope that helps :) good luck!
